London-based photographer Chris Huning specialises in portraiture, and specifically musicians' portraits Chris began his working life as a professional classical musician, working as a free-lance in northern England and then London, which gives him a natural empathy with musicians' requirements and expectations from a photo shoot. Chris’ photography career was launched shooting portraits for friends and colleagues in the performing arts world, most notably Ronnie Scott’s jazz singer Kai Hoffman. With Kai, Chris also developed a vintage style of portraiture – influenced by photos of the great jazz and Hollywood divas of the 1950s, which he is able to offer in addition to his contemporary styles. Chris's photography also encompasses product shoots for the musical instrument industry, and food photography, and he works extensively in education, photographing childrens' musical events for education authorities. Chris can offer both portraits with his state-of-the-art portable studio - on location at your event - or reportage-style shots using the natural surroundings, which he has done in venues from Ronnie Scott's Upstairs to the Royal Festival Hall.
